Wellness recently has been complicated for me.

On one hand, I see immense value in many ancient practices that have helped millions worldwide, yet I also see the harm in the capitalistic commodification and white-washing of these practices. Discernment has been a valuable tool for me lately, as well as asking questions. (Question everything I say).

I heavily depend on my community for guiding me and showing me the way and helping me with these questions.

Reflecting on my recent feelings, here’s my list of wellness practices that I still utilize to keep my mind and body healthy in these trying times, and those I’m hoping my learnings can also help you to avoid.

HOT BATHS

These are virtually free and extremely effective. If you want to be fancy add some epsom salts or fun mix-ins, play some music or listen to a guided meditation, and your mind and body will absolutely shift. I did exactly that this week with a guided meditation on love and was absolutely floating off to bed.

YOGA

I've spoken a lot on here for my love of Sky Ting Yoga and specifically Chelsey's Forbes's classes. I am no yoga expert at all, but I do know how much better I feel post yoga, a real yoga high. So I keep chasing it. Also the community at Sky Ting is absolutely top notch, real deal human angels at work and in the mix. For real.

MEDITATION

Again, I am *no expert* on this field at all, I just understand and feel the power of this practice in my life when I am able to tap into it. There's a lot out there. Go where you feel welcome and warm I say. Anything that helps quiet my busy mind is a win! Stress reduction is my number one health hack.
